That’s why high-performance joinery isn’t just a detail — it’s a decision that shapes how a space feels and functions every day. OMEGA® thermally broken aluminium systems are engineered to significantly reduce heat transfer between inside and out, helping homes stay warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and more energy efficient all year round.
Using a high-performance polyamide thermal barrier, OMEGA® goes beyond standard solutions by insulating the entire system — including frames, panels, and interlockers — creating a continuous thermal barrier without compromising strength, durability, or design.
A thermal break interrupts the path heat takes through the aluminium frame, reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. The result is more stable indoor temperatures and less reliance on heating and cooling to hold them there — which shows up directly in lower energy bills.
The break extends continuously through the outer frame, sliding panels, and interlockers, not just the edges. Partially broken systems leave conductive pathways at the meeting rails and sashes, which undercuts the performance of the assembly as a whole.
Because interior surfaces stay closer to room temperature, they are less likely to drop below dew point and attract moisture. Less condensation on glass and frames means a lower risk of mould, sill damage, and the maintenance that follows.
Thermal performance is engineered into the extrusion rather than added to it, so spans, hardware, and sightlines are unaffected. The durability and clean lines of aluminium joinery are retained in full.
